HOLA!

This morning, we arrived at Manila International Airport and drove to the hotel we are staying at. Our first impression of The Philippines was a lot different than what we experienced in Dubai. Poverty, population and enviroment are just some of the mayor differences between these countries. Of course, religion and culture are  definetly something else here. The look of the natives aswell. There are just so many differences that it's like going to another planet. Luckily there's an American family staying at our hotel, so we have someone to comunicate with and we might use them to get some information about this capital, Manila.

Well, we have been here for 6 hours now and we haven't explored much, except restaurants of course. Even  us vikings have to eat during the day. So one of the things we so far have noticed that there are variated amount of languages, I belive I've heard spanish. Whatever, I've also read this has been a spanish colony and there are about 100 different languages spoken here.

As you can see here, poverty among the natives is a really huge problem in Manila and the rest of The Philippines. Though in other parts of the this city there are actually modern skyscrapers that kind of hides this poverty.

Here you can see the skyscrapers i mentioned. In this part of Manila there are a lot more turits going for shopping or sight-seeing. Although many turists travel to The Philippines to explore these areas effected by poverty.
